Canada has launched its Defence Drone Initiative to accelerate the development, testing and production of uncrewed and autonomous systems, creating a supplier marketplace open to domestic industry.
The initiative spans unmanned systems (UxS), counter-UAS technologies, communications, systems integration, testing and experimentation.
Officials say the framework is designed to shorten the path from prototype to fielded capability.
“The initiative creates a supplier marketplace covering UxS, counter-UAS, communications and integration.”
